Laura Vellema

Laura Vellema is a combination housewife, elementary teacher, nanny, church youth leader and expectant stay-at-home mom. She lives in rural Iowa where she and her husband raise chickens, cows, and a chemical-free vegetable garden. God willing, they will add a handful of children to the mix and someday have their own relatively self-sufficient farm. Cooking and baking most of her little family's meals from scratch and reading (currently everything about pregnancy she can get her hands on) occupy most of Laura's free time. She is passionate about being green and says no to TV, but upholds the internet as her connection with the rest of the world. Her first baby, a boy, is due sometime in late December or early January of 2012.
