
President, March of Dimes
Dr. Jennifer L. Howse became president of the March of Dimes Birth Defects Foundation in January 1990. Under Dr. Howse’s leadership, the March of Dimes has achieved unprecedented revenue growth and significant expansion of mission initiatives. Dr. Howse holds a Ph.D. in psycholinguistics from Florida State University. She serves on the Board of The Salk Institute for Biological Studies in La Jolla, California and chairs the Advisory Board of The Center for Family Life in Sunset Park, Brooklyn. She has served as an adviser to the Director, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the HHS Secretary’s National Commission on Infant Mortality. She is a member of the Kaiser Commission on Medicaid and the Uninsured, the European Genetics Foundation Board, and the Pew Environmental Health Commission.

Pediatrician and Vaccine Specialist

Robert W. Sears, MD, is a father of three, board-certified in Pediatrics, and a co-author in the Sears Parenting Library. “Dr. Bob”, as he likes to be called by his little patients, earned his medical degree at Georgetown University School of Medicine in 1995. He did his pediatric internship and residency at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, finishing in 1998. Dr. Bob is the proud father of three active boys, Andrew, age 15, Alex, age 12, and Joshua age 6. He and his wife, Cheryl, reside in Dana Point, CA. In his spare time Dr. Bob enjoys surfing the California waves, mountain biking, playing bass guitar with his teenage son guitarist, and trying to keep up with his three children.

Dr. Thomas Moore came of age during the 1970s, in a time when service to society was considered the highest possible goal. He continues to feel that his role as a physician is a sacred trust and a unique opportunity to contribute to the personal health and well-being of his patients. “My specialty focuses upon high-risk pregnancies diseases that affect the fetus and problems in pregnancy. My strongest commitment is assisting mothers achieve their goals in birthing healthy babies. It’s very gratifying to help women understand how pregnancy affects their bodies and what they can do to ensure the outcome of their pregnancies.”
