I think it would be great if you guys had a show at some point on what it's like to have a baby, either premie or with health issues that goes to the NICU.
I knew prenatally that my baby would be born with congenital defects, but it was hard to find information on what it would be like after he was born. There's not a whole out out there, and a lot of the information I was able to find about the NICU was on premies only.
As I'm just starting to go through this experience myself, I'm finding there's a lot of topics that could be discussed, from what it's like to be separated from baby and coping with that, coping with medical proceedures, seeing baby hooked up to IVs and other tubes, establishing a milk supply when baby is unable to nurse by pumping only, things you can do to help increase milk supply and get let downs, what it's like in the NICU, dealing with family who want to visit, or who are having a hard time dealing with a baby that isn't perfectly healthy and home in 2 days, etc.
I know this probably doesn't affect the vast majority of pregnancies, but for those that it does, it'd be a great help to have a resource out there to help prepare for the experience, and have a better idea of what to expect.
