Haven't seen the Stay At Home Dad thread, so I thought I'd make one.
I am currently in a career flux. My DW is the main bread winner in our house. The discussion came up this weekend that I stay home when our little bundle of joy is born. Since I don't have a job now it does make sense. We'd save a ton of money on child care and that. We have good friends who are stay at home moms. It just seems like it would work.
Problem is I hate not working and it feels wrong for me to not be working. So to not work and have her go back to work 3 months after the baby just doesn't bode well with me. I think if we did do it we might do shifts. She work the day and I work at night. But all that is in the air.
