Hello All!! I came to pregtastic through my husband! He found the podcast on itunes and I began listening about 2 weeks ago! I have an hour drive everyday to work and then an hour drive from work! I began listening from the very first episode. I have really enjoyed listening and learning with you!

Here is a little bit about myself. I am 11 weeks pregnant, and this is going to be my first baby! I am sooooo excited! It seems all I can think about is the baby! I teach kindergarten at a great school in Southwest Missouri! I love my job, but by the end of the day I am ready for it to be over! My husband and I are in the process of buying a house so we can be in and get the baby's room together before he or she is born. I horseback ride and have not been able to since the first of January! I miss my horse! I am looking forward to getting back in the saddle next year!

I look forward to listening to you everyday! I also had a question. I have been excited and I had a co-worker say to me that she has already heard too much about my pregnancy and to not talk about it anymore. I have tried not to push it on anyone except when they ask. I guess my question is has anyone experienced this, and if so is there anything I can do?

Welcome to Pregtastic & Mommy's Milk and More,

We are all very happy for you! To answer your question, there are people out there that are going to want to rain on other people's parades. You never know what may have happened in her life. She may have had several miscarriages, she may have had an abortion or given a child up for adoption, she may not be able to conceive, she may have had a terrible childhood, she may be a rape survivor, etc.....

Usually when people want to bring other people down in their happiest hours, it is because of envy. For whatever reason, she may be envious of your pregnancy, and subsequent happiness from it. Don't take it personally. Just honor her feelings and share your time of joy with those who are in your corner.

Good luck! Have a wonderful pregnancy!

Warmly,
Veronica Tingzon

Veronica,

Thank you for your thoughts. I will definitly take those things into consinderation. For the time being I have just been trying to avoid the whole topic when I am around her, and she seems to be relaxing around me. She is new and very young. I just have to remember not everyone is as open as I am!
