“I love that it’s called “morning” sickness. In my case, it should be called “all-day-long-24/7-sickness’!”
What are you most excited about? Seeing and holding our baby for the first time. Also seeing my husband with our baby.
How is your energy level compared to “normal”? I’m much better than I was the first 4 months but I’m still plagued with morning sickness. I did notice my energy level increased partof the way through the second trimester but still nowhere near “normal” for me. I can’t complain though because I am just happy that the morning sickness is now at a manageable level
What clothes are you finding most comfy? My Old Navy cargo maternity pants that are low rise and sit below my belly. Pair those pants with a stretchy maternity top and I’m a happy mommy-to-be.
What type of food are you craving or have aversion to; does the smell of pickles make you smile or gag? I mostly have only food aversions and in the beginning this was to almost every conceivable food. I still have a relatively major aversion to meat (particularly red meat). No food cravings as of the 26 week mark. Although there was an evening about 4 weeks ago that I had a major craving for a cold orange (it had to be cold). My husband went out to the market and bought me some oranges and that was the first time since the nausea and vomiting started that I really got enjoyment from eating. Then there was the pumpkin pie a week later – I got enjoyment from that too – I’ve always loved pumpkin pie! I normally love pickles but they are a bit too strong tasting and garlicky for me now. At six months, I’m still tending toward bland food.
