“Just last night my husband commented that my belly definitely enters the room a while before I do. Scary thought since I’m only 25 weeks along.”
What is something silly, verging on ridiculous, that your husband has said about your pregnancy? Just last night he commented that my belly definitely enters the room a while before I do. Scary thought since I’m only 25 weeks along.
How is your energy level compared to “normal”? With my first pregnancy I was exhausted the entire first trimester, then I had a huge burst of energy for the second, and then still felt pretty energetic for the third. However, this pregnancy, I was never extremely tired, though napping is not an option with a toddler to keep up with, and I have not had a surge of energy in the second trimester either. I blame some of that on the lack of exercise, since I have the previa, I can’t exercise. With my first, I did low impact aerobics and yoga up until the morning I went into labor, so that probably made the difference in my stamina.
What clothes are you finding most comfy? T-shirts and maternity jeans and stretchy pants.
Was this second pregnancy planned? Somewhat, I had a c-section with my first, so the doctors advised me to wait one year before getting pregnant again to give my body a chance to heal. I conceived one year later almost exactly. We always wanted our children to be somewhat close in age, and now they will be at 21 months apart…we may wait a little longer before we try for number 3.
What are you most excited about? Hopefully experiencing as wonderful of a mother/daughter relationship as I have with my mother.
What type of food are you craving or have aversion to; does the smell of pickles make you smile or gag? First trimester with both pregnancies, I could not eat any sweets, all sweets made me nauseous. However, once I entered the second trimester, it is all about the sweets. Plus I love hot sandwiches, and pickles are always a good thing.
What is your most expensive purchase so far? I am a nut for professional photography, so I spend thousands on photographs during the pregnancy and first year of life. I had a wonderful photographer come in when my son was one week old, and I will definitely do it with this baby girl. So I cut corners on other areas by getting more reasonably priced strollers and diaper bags.
