What are you most excited about? Bonding with baby and hubby and not working (in the paid sense).

How is your energy level compared to “normal”? I got up at 6 this morning and swept the balcony!(I went to bed around 9pm.)  I used to dread having to get up that early on a Saturday, especially if I’d been up with friends, wine, and Taboo the night before.  As long as I don’t overexert myself, I feel like my energy level is pretty good.

What clothes are you finding most comfy? I have some pants and capris from Pea in a Pod – comfort is key.  And I love getting away with wearing flats all the time. Is that bad to not want to look sexy while you’re pregnant?

What type of food do you crave or have aversion to? I’ll eat almost anything. A couple nights ago, we made cookies that called for chocolate and 2 ½ cups of butter (along with other stuff) and I felt euphoric after eating chocolate off the spoon. Does the smell of anything make you gag? No, although very early in my pregnancy, I made a salmon-pesto-salad according to the instructions on the pesto jar.  It was wretched, at least to my pregnant sensibilities, so I haven’t craved pesto at all. 

What do you have planned for the nursery? Ummm, some Pooh wall murals…?  We live in a downtown condo that we’re planning to move from when the market bottoms out, so we didn’t want to paint.

What is your most expensive purchase so far? Probably the 529 Plan we’ll start for our PhD baby (aka: our Diapering Phenomenon) 

Where did you conceive? Do you want to share some funny details? Sure! We were in the Yucatan, Guatemala, and Belize for our honeymoon.  We were thinking of naming our kid “Tikal” since we’d hiked around those Mayan ruins that day.  

How involved in your husband/partner? The best! He made our registry (well, I added the hooter hider) and is planning our shower (a keg and all his guy friends are invited).

What is something silly, verging on ridiculous that someone has said about your pregnancy?  “You’re in your thirties so it might take you a few tries to get pregnant.”
