Hi, I’m Michelene, I’m 34 years old and have been married for one and a half years. This December, just in time for the holidays, we are going to have our first baby: a little girl. So far, my pregnancy is moving along without any complications. Aside from heartburn and retaining water, I’ve been lucky to not have to deal with anything too awful! The most difficult thing for me is dealing with the weight gain, but knowing (well, hopefully) its temporary makes it a little better. I can’t wait to “pop” more so it becomes more obvious I am pregnant, because to me, I just look chubby! Working full time can be tough on those days when all the energy is completely drained from my body, but overall, it’s been an exciting journey. No “weird” cravings like pickles and ketchup, but I have noticed that when I have a yen for something (usually ice cream or turkey sandwiches) it had BETTER be available! Our hopes are like everyone else’s: to have a healthy baby. And, also, hopefully not one that suffers from colic!

What is something silly, verging on ridiculous, that your husband has said about your pregnancy? He thinks I should enter a burping contest because I belch “like a 40-year-old-beer-swilling-lumberjack”.

How is your energy level compared to “normal”? Now that I am almost in my 3rd trimester, the energy is waning, and I am feeling more tired than my 1st trimester!

What clothes are you finding most comfy? My yoga pants.

What are you most excited about? Seeing what she looks like.

What type of food are you craving or have aversion to; does the smell of pickles make you smile or gag? Craving things like buffalo shrimp (from Hooters), turkey sandwiches and watermelon. Can’t stand the smell of cooked/cooking vegetables like broccoli, cauliflower etc.

Where did you conceive? In bed, with our Liberator Wedge. Do you want to share some funny details? Just that even though I knew from customers that Liberator works for conception, I didn’t think it would for us.

What is your most expensive purchase so far? Haven’t really purchased anything big yet, but I bet it’s going to be the Bumbleride stroller at around 300 dollars!

What color will you paint the nursery? It will be neutral, no pink for us!
