Hi, I’m Patti, I’m 39 years old and have been married for three years. This August we are going to have a playmate for our 16 month old boy, Tyler. He will have a sister! This pregnancy was/is a surprise as we tried for a year with Tyler so we had no idea we’d be pregnant so soon! My pregnancy is smoothly moving along mostly because I haven’t had the time to fret over much with my busy schedule of working full time while momming and wifing. Strangely, during this pregnancy I crave thousand island dressing on iceberg lettuce salads-boring!

Our hopes are that our daughter will not be born with hip dysplasia as our son Tyler was. He had bilateral hip dysplasia which is genetic; I had it with one hip at birth. Tyler also cried for the first three months with colic so we feel we now deserve that “easy baby” some of my friends were so blessed to have.

What are you most excited about? Seeing our two kids playing happily together.

How is your energy level compared to “normal”? My energy is waning compared to the last pregnancy because this time I don’t have the luxury of sleeping when I’m tired because I’m playing with a toddler. I fall into bed when my 16 month old goes to sleep.

What clothes are you finding most comfy? I find those all cotton gaucho type pants and tank tops to be the easiest; that is my uniform lately. Next is my all cotton summer dress from Target.

What is your most expensive purchase so far? We are about to purchase a double stroller which we’ve found is going to cost us anywhere from $200-$600 and that doesn’t come with a chauffeur.
